The Scientific Link Between Insomnia and Hair Condition
According to clinical reports, the rate of hair loss increases exponentially as sleep duration decreases. This is because the processes of cell regeneration and immune system reorganization during sleep are disrupted. In particular, a state of nervous overexcitement constricts scalp blood vessels, blocking the nutrient supply to hair follicles, which is a direct cause of deteriorating hair conditions. The Re-Cording System begins by breaking this link.
While treating hair loss patients, Dr. Leemoonwon discovered a potential link between sleep and hair loss and researched whether lack of sleep actually causes hair loss.
The results of this study were presented at the 8th International Congress on Complementary Medicine Research (ICCMR) held in London, UK.
According to the findings, only 8.2% of people who slept 8 hours a day experienced hair loss. However, sleeping less or more than 8 hours resulted in a hair loss rate about 3 times higher, and sleeping less than 5 hours led to a staggering 6.3 times higher rate.
This suggests that 8 hours of sleep can be effective in preventing hair loss, and severe lack of sleep significantly increases the likelihood of hair loss. Therefore, severe insomnia or sleep disorders must be addressed.
Consequently, 8 hours of sufficient sleep is key to preventing hair loss. If sleep deprivation is severe, it must be addressed to maintain healthy hair conditions.
