Multiple Alopecia Areata / Age 47
Family history: None
Progress: For about two years the patient had been getting recurring patches of alopecia areata — treatment would clear them up, and then they would come back. Each time it returned it responded less and lasted longer, and this time several new patches appeared at once, so the patient heard about our clinic and came from Japan to Korea for treatment. Hair started growing back soon after treatment began, and the patient also felt healthier overall. Treatment for the multiple alopecia areata is now almost finished, and at the patient's request we are treating receding (M-shaped) hairline loss alongside it. Even coming from Japan, the patient stayed consistent with the herbal medicine and the topical treatments.
Treatment period: 7 months, still ongoing
