Body Recording System Overview — Leemoonwon Clinic
Section 01
Hair loss is not a scalp problem It is your body's record
Shedding hair is the scalp's printout of what happened inside the body. To understand it, we need to look at what was going on 6 months to a year earlier.
Body Receipt — How the body prints the past
At a hair loss consultation, one of the first questions we ask is: "Roughly 6 months to a year before your shedding became noticeable, what was happening in your life?"
Nearly every patient pauses, recalls something, and nods. A period of extreme stress while preparing for a job change. Broken sleep after a second child. Losing 8 kg in six months to prepare for interviews. The start of irregular periods.
Hair loss does not arrive overnight. Hair is the organ that prints the body's state over the past 6 months to a year. The hair falling out now is not who you are today. It is a receipt from the past.
That is why when you start treatment today, results appear 6 months to a year later. Stopping because you see no immediate change is the biggest reason treatment fails. You are only looking at old receipts. New receipts are being written starting today.
The scalp is a printer. Fixing the printed page won't change the output if the file stays the same.
Section 02
Five ways the body creates hair loss
There is rarely one cause. Warning signals inside the body combine and gradually weaken the follicle.
How five warning signals reach the follicle
🩺
① Hormonal imbalance
When estrogen falls, the follicle's protective shield weakens. DHT shrinks follicles. Hypothyroidism stops follicle growth.
Chronic stress → rising cortisol → early follicle regression. This is why concentrated shedding often follows stress by 3–4 months.
→ Extreme stress · sleep under 5 hours
🩸
③ Circulation & nutrition decline
Hair is last in line for the body's nutrient allocation. Low ferritin (iron) and protein deficiency connect directly to shedding.
→ Dieting · exam stress · nutritional imbalance
🔥
④ Chronic inflammation
Gut imbalance → more inflammatory molecules (LPS) in blood → follicle growth switch blocked. Scalp itch may start in the gut.
→ Scalp itch · dandruff · gut discomfort
🫃
⑤ Digestive weakness
If food is not absorbed, nutrients never reach the follicle. Two thousand years of East Asian medicine: "When digestion is strong, hair has luster."
→ Bloating · constipation · eating but still drained
🔗
These connect
Broken sleep → hormonal swings → poor absorption → weaker immunity → more inflammation. When one falls, the rest follow like dominoes.
→ Most cases involve 2–3 overlapping signals
Core point
As long as warning signals persist inside the body, follicles stay in a harmful environment.
Treating only the scalp leaves those signals untouched.
Section 03
Why scalp treatment alone does not resolve the root issue
Why does minoxidil return when you stop? Why doesn't changing shampoo help? Because treatment never reached where the cause lives.
The truth about minoxidil
It is the best-selling hair loss treatment worldwide. It works while you use it. Stop, and shedding returns.
There is a reason. Minoxidil forcibly dilates scalp blood vessels. More blood flow means more oxygen and nutrients to follicles. But when you stop, vessels return to baseline. The cause that made follicles shed — whether hormones, inflammation, or stress — remains.
That does not mean minoxidil is a bad drug. It means it intervenes at the result, not the cause.
The fundamental problem
You visit dermatology for scalp itch. You visit internal medicine for gut discomfort. You visit a hair clinic for shedding.
Three places. Three different treatments. Yet the cause may be one. In a system that splits the body apart, this connection is hard to see.
Follicles are not dead — they are suppressed
In 2012, Professor Shinya Yamanaka received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for showing that mature cells can be reactivated when the right signaling environment is created.
Hair loss is not dead follicles. They are suppressed inside a harmful environment created by warning signals. Change that environment, and follicles respond again. This is the starting point of the Body Recording System.
Conclusion
If the body keeps maintaining an environment that creates hair loss, stimulating follicles alone may work briefly — but when the environment stays the same, shedding returns.
It is like venting smoke while the fire still burns. You have to put out the fire.
Section 04
Body Recording from within Why you need to take, apply, and stay consistent
Each of the three pathways plays a different role. Leave one out, and synergy disappears.
Three treatment pathways — from inside out
In
SH-1 oral formula — turns off warning signals inside the body
No matter what you apply to the scalp, if warning signals persist inside the body, the scalp stays in a harmful environment. It acts systemically through digestion, absorption, and circulation — areas local scalp care can never reach.
Local baicalin application: reduced DKK1 (Wnt inhibitor) / increased ALP (differentiation marker) confirmed (IJMM 2018)
Direct
Super Hair Shot — signals dormant follicle stem cells
When oral and topical care reshape the environment, Super Hair Shot delivers the signal directly to the follicle. Scalp micro-injection activates the Wnt/β-catenin pathway. 2012 Nobel principle — suppressed cells can be reactivated in the right signaling environment.

Why consistency matters — the physics of the hair growth cycle
One strand takes at least 6 months and up to 18 months from growth phase to shedding phase. Even after treatment starts, hair already in regression will fall. New growth becoming visibly thicker takes 6–12 months.
Stopping at 3 months is like planting seeds and giving up before sprouts appear.
Three-phase treatment journey — how the body changes
Body Recording conclusion
Because the cause lives inside the body, treatment starts there (oral). We reshape the environment directly on the scalp (topical). We signal dormant follicles directly (Super Hair Shot). When all three work together, treatment becomes lasting.
Global research explains how each ingredient works. Twenty years of clinical practice built the evidence for their combination.

Ingredients & research Modern science validates herbs used for millennia
World journals are revealing why these ingredients work on each warning signal.
🌿
Astragalus (黃芪) — Astragalus membranaceus
Key compounds: Astragaloside IV · Cycloastragenol
Oral (anti-aging · immunity) + topical (scalp barrier) — used both ways
The 2009 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine recognized telomeres and telomerase. Astragaloside IV in astragalus activates telomerase. Leemoonwon Clinic used astragalus in anti-aging hair loss prescriptions long before the Nobel Prize. Clinical practice knew how before science explained why.
Kim MH et al. PLoS ONE 9(3): e92984 (2014) · Kyung Hee U. + Duke U. joint studyAstragaloside IV group showed reduced follicle cell death and upregulated Bcl-2, confirming follicle protection
Wang et al. Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology (2023)Telomere restoration strategy directly cites Astragalus compounds
Oral (inflammation) + topical (anti-inflammatory formula) — used both ways
It suppresses NF-κB to control inflammation while activating Wnt/β-catenin to turn on the follicle growth switch. One ingredient addresses two warning signals (inflammation + Wnt blockade). This is the core of complex herbal prescribing.
Xing F et al. Int J Molecular Medicine 41(4): 2079-2085 (2018)Baicalin activates Wnt/β-catenin + promotes dermal papilla cell differentiation. Concluded effective for hair loss with low toxicity and easy local application
Chen et al. BioMed Research International (2022)Confirmed combined NF-κB inhibition + Wnt activation / androgen receptor translocation inhibition → potential prevention of androgenetic alopecia
Additional topical effect: local reduction of DKK1 (Wnt inhibitor) → directly opens the follicle growth switch
🌱
Angelica (當歸) — Angelica sinensis
Key compounds: Z-Ligustilide · Ferulic acid
Oral (circulation · menopause) + topical (growth-stimulating) use
"Nourishes the blood and promotes circulation." In modern molecular biology: inhibits platelet aggregation (better circulation) + reduces follicle cell death. Only the language differed.
Yang WM et al. American Journal of Chinese Medicine 42(4) (2014)Angelica group showed clear regrowth, Bcl-2/Bax ratio shift, and inhibited NF-κB nuclear translocation
Li Ma et al. J Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences (2025) ★ LatestFaster regrowth than 3% minoxidil, no acute toxicity
🌱
Ginseng (人蔘) — Panax ginseng
Key compounds: Ginsenoside Rb1 · Rg1 · Rg3
Oral — immunity · autonomic nerve · sleep-support formula group
It calms HPA axis overactivity and normalizes cortisol. It lowers Substance P (stress signal) and promotes autophagy (cellular self-recycling — 2016 Nobel principle), supporting follicle cell renewal.
SH-1 trial results: core ingredients Ginseng · Licorice · Poria produced significant Substance P reduction and meaningful increase in T- and B-cells (Leemoonwon Clinic in-house research)
🫚
Ginger (生薑) — Zingiber officinale
Key compounds: 6-Gingerol · Shogaol
Topical — limited use for vasodilation
This ingredient teaches the most important lesson in this chapter.
Scientific twist — and the real story
A 2013 study found 6-gingerol may actually inhibit hair growth (PLoS ONE 2013). But in Leemoonwon topicals, the goal is not direct regrowth. It is vasodilation and improved scalp circulation. That effect is confirmed in separate pharmacology research. The same compound works entirely differently depending on purpose and method. That is what prescribing means.

Core of the Body Recording System
Even with the same hair loss, when the dominant warning signal differs, the prescription must differ. Twenty years, 200,000 cases, 103 countries of clinical practice built that difference.
Reading your warning signals first — that is where Body Recording begins.
