We are pleased to share that Lee Moon Won Bio Co., Ltd., the research and development affiliate of Lee Moon Won Korean Medicine Clinic, has been officially selected for the TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups) General Track, a prestigious government-funded R&D program operated by the Korea Technology and Information Promotion Agency for SMEs (TIPA) under the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.

The Relationship Between Lee Moon Won Korean Medicine Clinic and Lee Moon Won Bio

Since opening in Gangnam in 2005, Lee Moon Won Korean Medicine Clinic has devoted the past 20 years exclusively to the treatment of hair loss. During that time, we have provided care for more than 200,000 patients from 103 countries, accumulating extensive clinical experience and treatment expertise.

Building upon this foundation, Lee Moon Won Bio was established in 2021 as our dedicated research and development company. While the clinic focuses on providing personalized patient care, Lee Moon Won Bio is responsible for scientifically investigating our accumulated clinical knowledge and translating it into evidence-based technologies and intellectual property. Although closely connected, the two organizations serve distinct roles—one as a medical institution and the other as a research-driven biotechnology company.

What This Selection Means

The TIPS (Tech Incubator Program for Startups) is one of Korea's most competitive government innovation programs, supporting a select group of high-potential technology companies with research funding, commercialization assistance, and expert mentoring.

Through this program, Lee Moon Won Bio will receive government-funded research support over the next 24 months to investigate the scientific mechanism of action behind Super Hair Shot, a proprietary formulation that has been used clinically at our clinic for many years.

The research is currently underway, with future goals including publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals and registration of the formulation as a cosmetic ingredient based on the research outcomes.

We are also pleased to share that our Medical Head Spa Program has been selected this year as a Korea Wellness Tourism Program supported by the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
