Treatment Progress

The alopecia areata appeared during a physically demanding period with a long commute. The patient had one previous episode, so this was the second, and their overall shedding had also increased. The exam showed their body was quite run down, and they'd been eating very little while trying to manage their weight.

Along with treatment, we recommended eating more and exercising. The patient followed through well, and as a result the alopecia areata is recovering and shedding has returned to normal.
