Clinical Notes
- Symptoms & Diagnosis
- She noticed an alopecia areata patch three months earlier but didn't treat it, then came in worried when her shedding recently increased. It was her first episode. She had quit her job to study for an exam and was under a lot of stress; she was also eating a lot of fast food and sleeping much less. Her workplace health checkup last year was normal, so it was assessed as autoimmune alopecia areata.
- Treatment Plan
- Oral herbal medicine twice a day (RH-1), pharmacopuncture once a week, a spray-on treatment applied to the patch and surrounding area twice a day (RH-2), and an anti-hair-loss shampoo
- Treatment Period
- April 2020 – June 2020
