Treatment Progress
Although her hair loss was a side effect of dieting, she couldn't let go of dieting early in treatment and kept cutting back on food, so her shedding didn't decrease despite treatment. Once we stressed that she needed to stop dieting and had her return to normal meals, consistent treatment gradually reduced her shedding.
However, once shedding decreased, she went back to dieting on and off, and her response went up and down. After she stopped dieting completely, her response stabilized. Her hair volume steadily increased, and she's now maintaining a stable weight without gaining more.
