After starting a new job she was under a lot of stress and was also dieting, and an alopecia areata patch appeared on the side of her head. Because of a drug allergy, she came to us for Korean herbal medicine instead of dermatology. We treated her with herbal medicine, topical treatments, and pharmacopuncture at each visit. The hair loss progressed slightly for about two weeks after starting treatment, and then new hair began to grow.

She is now almost fully recovered. At her first visit she also had severe fatigue, swelling, and dark circles, so we recommended exercise and diet changes as well, and she says those symptoms have improved a lot too.
