Treatment Progress
Along with multiple patches of alopecia areata, she had severe heat in the scalp, headaches, scalp pain, and numbness. Early on, the scalp heat and headaches improved, while the alopecia areata was slower to respond, but it gradually improved too and the other symptoms almost completely disappeared.
A new patch appeared partway through treatment, which made her very anxious, but once it improved again she was able to continue with peace of mind and successfully finish treatment for the multiple patches. She also had some progression of female pattern hair loss, but by the end of treatment her overall hair was fuller than when the alopecia areata first appeared, and she was able to put her hair loss worries behind her.
