Clinical Notes
- Symptoms & Diagnosis
- This alopecia areata appeared during menopause and was her first episode. It developed after a period of major stress. She waited seven months, assuming it would heal on its own, but the hair didn't grow back and recently got worse, so she came in. Gentle pulling around the patch showed hair still coming out, so we expected the patch to grow a little before improving.
- Treatment Plan
- Oral herbal medicine twice a day (RH-1), pharmacopuncture once a week, a regenerative treatment once a week, a spray-on treatment applied to the patch and surrounding area once a day (RH-2), and an anti-hair-loss shampoo
- Treatment Period
- March 2019 – September 2019
