Multiple patches of alopecia areata appeared suddenly, and the patient was losing 200–300 hairs a day. With their overall health also declining, they came in for Korean herbal medicine, and we started treatment with herbal medicine and a few topical treatments only. For multiple-patch alopecia areata, the response has been fast: shedding has dropped to under a third and new hair is growing in quickly. The patient is also less fatigued and digesting better, and is very happy with the herbal treatment.
