Treatment Progress
Heavy work stress combined with the physical and mental strain of planning a wedding led to several patches of alopecia areata. After two months of treatment elsewhere without improvement, it worsened into ophiasis-pattern alopecia areata, and the patient came to our clinic. The hair loss was still progressing at the first visit, so we had the patient come in twice a week early on to keep it from getting worse.
Unlike most patients, the new hair grew in white. Some of it is being replaced by dark hair, but a lot is still growing in white. This isn't common, but it does happen, and this patient was one of those cases. We expect to complete treatment with one to two more months.
※ This case is shared with the patient's consent. Results and treatment length vary from person to person depending on individual constitution and symptoms.
