Treatment Progress

This was the second recurrence of alopecia areata. The first episode responded well to treatment, but after it came back a year ago, it didn't improve despite consistent treatment at another clinic — only a little fuzz grew, and the scalp stayed sunken. Since the patient attends college outside Seoul, they came in during school break for intensive treatment. They're almost fully recovered, and we plan to finish treatment in about a month.

The patient is naturally sensitive, has hyperhidrosis, and stresses easily, so there's some risk of recurrence. We recommended meditation and exercise, and they're keeping up with both.
